Hardware lab

Software that leaves the screen.

Most of what we build lives on a screen. Some of it doesn’t. When a product needs a circuit board, a 3D-printed part or firmware, we prototype it in-house — together with the app and backend it needs, so the whole system works from the first demo.

One prototype

Every layer, one team.

Hardware projects usually stall at the hand-off between the electronics, the firmware and the app. We build all of it together, so the seams get tested on day one rather than in month six.

  1. 01

    Mechanical

Body shell, chassis, turret housings and track pieces, modelled parametrically and printed to test the fit.

  2. 02

    Electronics

A main board, a colour-sensor board and a turret board, laid out in KiCad and assembled.

  3. 03

    Firmware

Driving, sensing, shooting and Bluetooth, all running on the car’s own ESP32-H2.

  4. 04

    Software

An app that pairs with the cars, runs lobbies and races, and a backend that keeps score.

Rendered from our PCB & CAD files

What we prototype

From the CAD file to a working unit.

  • Circuit boards

Schematics and layout in KiCad, from small two-layer sensor boards to four-layer main boards — panelised for assembly, with a priced BOM.

  • 3D-printed mechanics

Parametric CAD in FreeCAD, designed for FDM printing: enclosures, chassis, mounts, jigs and modular systems.

  • Embedded firmware

C on ESP-IDF and FreeRTOS: Bluetooth LE, motors, sensors, IR and LEDs, with updates over the air.

  • The connected app

Flutter and web apps that pair with your hardware, plus the backend that ties a fleet of devices together.

  • Bring-up & testing

First power-on, calibration against real-world sensor readings, design-rule fixes and the next board revision.

  • Renders from CAD

Photoreal product renders straight from the design files — for pitch decks, crowdfunding and store pages, before the first unit ships.

Where we fit

A good fit

  • Connected devices that need an app or a cloud backend
  • Working prototypes for investors, pilots and user testing
  • Small batches and revisions while the design settles

Not what we do

  • Mass manufacturing and tooling
  • Formal certification testing
  • Hardware with no software story
